"Because I love you" has become Alex's go to reason for why he should have or do things. It makes absolutely no sense, but strangely seems to work.
"Mommy, I want some gum"
"Why do you need gum?"
"Because I love you."
"Alex, don't jump on the couch"
"I have to!"
"Why do you have to?"
"Because I love you."
"Why are you sitting on your brother"
"Because I love you.
"Carry on then"
It doesn't happen often, but this literally made me LOL -- particularly the last one! :-D
